stupid gallbladder

I was crusing along with no complications what so ever and BAM!!!  I now get to get my gall bladder taken out. 

Who else has had to have theirs removed?  They say it is common with rapid weight loss to have problems.

Stats...I am almost 10 months out (will be on the 1st) and I am down 125 pounds.  I am 10 pounds under my docs goal.

 I haven't had thi.  I was given ursodiol for the first 6 months to help prevent gall stones.  I hope it works, the only other surgeries I want is plastics.

 i had gall bladder problems since i was 18 but they could never find anything wrong with it...  a year and a half after getting sleeved and it was toast -- full of stones....  but i got a tummy tuck at the same time, so i didn't mind too much....

 I had mine taken out in 2009.  Glad its gone cause the pain was something i can't even explain.  Mine was taken out lapriscopically (spelling? )  I did have a fever after surgery so i had to stay an additional day.  It took about 6 months before my body adjusted to not having the gall bladder but once it did i was able to eat normally.  Good luck with the surgery.

I am 13 months out from surgery. I had two attacks of acute pain last week. I am having my gallbladder removed next Tuesday.

THanks everyone for your input.  It looks like I have to wait 4 weeks to have it taken out.  In the meantime, what could you eat that didn't cause you alot of pain.  I have lost 3 pounds this week and I really can't afford to lose any more.
