Getting sleeved in the morning. Being as this is a holiday today and I'm going through the pre-op clean out, I'll miss all the usual Easter festivities today. I miss church and brunch. I don't miss the candy as I'm not much of a sweets person, except peeps. I can't even have a sf peeps latte (sf toasted marshmallow flavoring). This has me rethinking all the normal menus I make for all holidays. At least I have time to figure out Thanksgiving and Christmas and by then I will be well on my way to goal and it will be worth it.

Congratulations on your upcoming sleeve.
That is what got me through at Thanksgiving - looking forward to future celebrations. Knowing I could eat tasty stuff in the future helped me pass up the feast that day.

My husband just said the sweetest thing. We were talking about Easter and how I was missing the usual things that go with it and he said to me "really what you're doing is like the first Easter, you're having your very own rebirth and will be better than ever." I'm kind of emotional today. The tears are coming freely.

CONGRATS TO YOU!!!!! AND I CAN SAY I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH BECAUSE I AM ALSO GETTING SLEEVED ON TOMORROW MORNING!! IT IS A REBIRTH FOR US AND WE WILL HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS!!!! LOL
