Hair loss at almost a year out

 I had some significant hair loss from months 3-6, then it stopped. I'm now at just over 11 months out and it has started coming out again!!

I get a minimum of 80 g protein daily, an pretty good with my vitamins ( much better than early on, in fact ) and nothing else has changed.

Any ideas?

I don't know how old you are but hair loss is kinda normal when you get older. Sorry.
Even if you're female. Sorry again.

But I would get some blood work done to check your vite levels, just in case.

imho

Think about what happen in your life 4 months ago, it might not be related to your WL program at all. This has happen to me two times in the last 12 months. My back surgery, and finding out my bro had terminal cancer and losing him.

I will probably be bald in about 4 months my WL surgery is next week. Stress, emotional trauma or pain plays a big role in Hair Loss. If you are not taking Biotin you will want to add it to your Vit regiment daily because it sounds like your getting the nutrients you need.

On a positive note if you are losing it now that means new hair follicles are pushing the dead ones out.
Hang in there

I am a hairdresser and some people have a "drop" every 6 months. Or once a year.... So it could just be your normal shedding pattern, but you are more aware of it now..

 Thanks Julie, my hairdresser mentioned it could be normal shedding but it seems so much more. Good point about being hypersensitive about it though.

This could also be a hormone imbalance. Good luck!

Did you ever get your ferritin pulled girlie?  Low ferritin can definitely contribute to the hair loss issue.

Also, track when you are having more hair loss, since we go through regular shedding seasons as mammals.  :}

And your protein you got checked in your labs?  because just because you EAT enough protein, does not mean your body is absorbing it properly (she says, knowing of what she speaks :} )

I don't go back for labs until July... wondering if maybe I should request them sooner??

I plan on taking the list you gave me cause I KNOW they didn't pull all that last time!
