I wondering if you were able to get all your protein in with eating soft foods or did you have to have a shake?  I'm sick of the shakes already, but will do what I have to do.  Trying to find a shake I truly like.

I'm six months out and still drink a daily shake.

I'm at that stage and am having a very hard time getting protein in. Or anything actually. I am so over shakes... Ugh.

One thing that helps is my protein frozen yogurt. Basically take a container of 0% fat Green yogurt, blend it with about 1/4 of skim milk and a scoop of some fruity or chocolately protein powder (I use Unjury) and then freeze it. If you close your eyes it tastes like TCBY. Sort of.

I really like Unjury Chicken Soup - it's savory, not sweet, and low calorie.  I had a shake in the morning, and the chicken soup at lunch.  Then lots of Greek yogurt, tuna and whizzed up chicken.

I love love love Optimum Nutrition's Carmel Toffee Fudge, and Syntrax Nectar Chocolate Truffle.  BUT I just discovered (thanks to acbrown) Syntrax Nectar Double Stuffed Cookie and it is so good I hope I don't get all compulsive about it.  I have one scoop in my coffee every morning.  I could get all my protein from food now, but it is a lower calorie protein "shot in the arm" before I start my day.  I will probably continue this for a long, long time.  I don't like to eat too soon after getting up and this has been a great substitute.

:) Happy
