I'm tired of mashed potatoes, what else is good at this stage?  Had family in town and went out to eat...ordered scrambled eggs....came out dry and couldn't eat it.  Any suggestions would be wonderful!

My NUT told me to take either Tuna or chicken in a can put it in the blender with some mayo and spices that you like and blend it. I am three weeks out and was "dying" for something besides mashed potatoes and eggs. This is a good trick and if you add some unflavored protien it adds that much more protien to it. Yummo! Good luck to you.

Don't know what stage your surgeon has you on, but how bout refried beans with salsa and melted cheese?  Egg salad or deviled eggs, potato soup, tomato soup, cream of brocolli soup,
cottage cheese, yogurt,  chili in the blender, sugar free pudding with teaspoon of peanut butter mixed in, lowfat cheese sticks.
I can't remember what stage I was in at one month.  I think I was allowed to start eating some solid food like tuna salad, chicken salad, canned fruit and vegetables, but follow your plan.
It gets better.

Oh Erika, it is time to ditch the mashed potatoes!  There is a wonderful world of high-protein mushies out there!

OK, here goes.  Starkist makes a pre-packaged low-fat tuna salad - 90 calories and 11 g of protein.  There are tiny bits of water chestnuts for a little crunch, but I just chewed well (and my doctor didn't mind).  Next, I took the food processor and mixed Greek yogurt and chicken breast, plus my favorite spices (Frank's wing sauce, Indian spices, etc).

As for eggs, I love them any way you cook them.  I poach them in the microwave, and keep the yolk just a tad runny.  You can hard boil them and mix them with salsa.  You can scramble them with cheese.

At a restaurant, I ordered soup mostly.  Don't worry - you'll be past mushies before you know it.  Just don't push yourself, eat as much protein as possible (not carbs) and drink drink drink.

When you get eggs out, get scrambled with some cheese - they are much moister that way.  Oatmeal is another good option.
