anybody who had to inject get big bruises?? Lovanox...

Just to clarify I wasn't saying pinch like a child but for some it's easier to take hold of the skin when giving yourself the injection!

Why are you taking the shots prior to surgery?  I'm at nurse and we usually stop any blood thinners prior to surgery.  I have actually spoke to a Lovenox drug rep who said to give them in the love handles but when I had my shots after surgery, I would give my shots in the fattest part of my stomach.  Whatever you do don't rub it and inject slowly (the shots sometimes cause a burning feeling).

Yeah they burn. I have leiden factor 5, so I've got to be on blood thinners for life. I guess the lovenox is easier to control my INR than coumadin...not such long lasting effects. I don't take an injection after seven in the morning tomorrow. 24 hours prior to surgery.
