How long after surgery did you go back to work

I know this differs for everyone and I am just a little curious.  I took four weeks off but am thinking of extending it one more week.

Depends on what you do and how you feel. If you feel like you need another week, take it.

I was out a couple of days, BUT I own the company and my team did most of the work, I also work at my home office. I didn't really go back full time until 2 weeks or so.

I went back to work at 1 1/2 weeks, but I have a fairly easy desk job. Plus, I couldn't afford to stay off work. But if I would have had Ithe option, I would have liked to have another week at least. However, I feel completely back to normal energy wise. Just struggling with the liquids.

I went back at 3 weeks and felt perfectly fine except for some bowel irritability. Dr. put me on some medicine for it that made me sick and so I took another week off to clear that up. We think I had a bit of an intestinal infection when I went into the hospital. Otherwise 3 weeks were plenty of time.

6 weeks. But my job requires lots of heavy lifting (70 lbs) and pushing/ pulling large blobs of plastic (100-200 lbs) and my doctor didn't want to tear anything or have me get a hernia.

I went back after 6 days.  I have a desk job, so it is not physically demanding.

I am a nurse and had to be off a 6 weeks minimum. I took 8 off but went back after 7 because I was ready and bored.

I teach part time at the local community college, and I had a week and 3 days between surgery and my first teaching day.

I took three weeks off only because it was Christmas break and I work at a school. Had it not been a break in school, I would have been able to go back after a week off. It really depends on what type of work you do. Good luck.
