Liquid Diet question

Can you puree cooked vegetables when on your liquid diet pre-surgery?

I was only on clear liquids for the day before surgery since I was on a weight loss plan for 12 weeks before surgery. 
Every doctor has their own plan.  I would ask yours just to be sure because some liquid plans call for clear liquids only.  You wanna be sure.

agreed, check with your docs office; mine had a very specific list of what I could and couldn't eat on the 2 week pre-op diet.

Thanks, I will check with the Doctor.  I have been somewhat of a pest so I thought I'd ask online first.  I know they are getting tired of my calls.

you've paid them a lot of money (you, or your insurance)...you need ALL your questions answered, don't feel like a pest!

I just had my pre-op meeting.  I have to do 12 days of liver shrinking diet and 2 days of clear liquids.

Is it a clear diet or just a liquid diet? I drank V-8 on my liquid diet. The only thing I would say is that you would end up with a lot of fiber and that may not be a good thing pre-op. I would say call/contact your surgical coordinator.
