So can I just clarify that ya'll put unflavored protein powder in broth, among other things? Just curious. I'm on liquids for a week...I'm two days post op...tomorrow I can try milk and protein powder. Just checking! Thanks! S

Yes, but to be honest unflavored isn't really........well unflavored. It just means it isn't chocolate or something similar. Protein tastes and smells like protein.

Unjury has a nice protein chicken broth that is pretty low on the protein taste/smell.

Positivity is a choice!

I highly recommend Unjury's chicken soup. It is my favorite, I am pre-op and drink it willingly. I love the taste of it. It has 21gms of protein in 8oz. I have yet to try the unflavored but I do have a couple packs of it. I am going to try to sprinkle some in chicken/tuna salads just to increase the protein a little.

You just have to be careful - if you put the protein in a hot liquid, it can curdle and clump up - think scrambled eggs.  Its really nasty when it does that.  Be careful and don't add it to any liquid hotter than 140 degrees.

If you have ever made a recipe and had to temper eggs - same thing.
