NSV: Clowning for the camera
I have very few before pictures. Other than my wedding, I allowed almost no pictures but head shots to be taken to me pretty much my entire adulthood. I would hide from the camera, stand in the back in groups, whatever I had to do to keep my body, which I was so ashamed of, from being captured on film or file.
It's only in the last 6 months or so that I've finally overcome that - in fact, I've become a bit of a camera hog. Yesterday my husband was setting up to do some portraits of our friends' extended family in their home. The ambient light was a little odd, so he needed to take a few test shots to fine tune his lighting set-up. So out I jumped, mugging for the camera. Feels so good to not feel self-conscious about how I look any more.

My weight has stayed within a few-pound window for the last year too. If it starts creeping up I rein in the carbs that have inevitably snuck in and go back to where I should be. I wouldn't mind losing 10 more, that way I can say I've lost half my starting weight, but I'm very happy here!
My hubby and I signed up for a 5K on New Year's Day. Seemed like a fitting way to start the year :)
