First class of the semester and a pretty cool NSV
Today was my first class of the summer semester (yuck!) and it was in the auditorium that I had my first class in last Fall. I always hated going to that class because it was designed with the seats having the little desks next to them and you have to pull it up and over your lap to use it to take notes. Well, needless to say, the table was always at a slant and not flat thanks to my lovely thighs and usually was digging into my stomach as well. Well, today, I sat in the chair comfortably, pulled the table over and smiled as it sat flat without resting on my thighs or touching my stomach.
As much as I've appreciated my class mates making positive comments about my weight, it's still really cool to have something concrete like this from back in September to now, only 10 weeks out from surgery, changing so dramatically. I've definitely been having my patience tested with my stalls, but these NSV really help me realize it's not just about a number.
Hope you all are doing well and noticing these little small wins as well. :)
Cheers!
Beth
Thanks everyone!
It's been such a journey having this done during grad school that sometimes I forgot to look at the physical changes because I'm so focused on my work.
I always hated sitting in the middle of rows because people couldn't get by me or if I had to get up I was climbing over half the people. So much different now. :)
