HI, everyone!  First, thank you to all of you who post / respond to us "newbies"!   I was sleeved on Monday (afternoon)... went home on Tuesday and back to work today (I work from home - computer / phone).  Here's my question...

As soon as I could eat / drink in the hospital, they brought me a tray w/ broth, jello, and lemonade.  I was able to eat nearly all of the broth, 1/2 the jello and 1/2 the lemonade over the course of about 3 - 4 hours.  Now that I'm home, I am struggling b/c I feel like I can take in too much at a time... I am not getting that "full" sensation that most sleevers describe.  Now, I can feel the fluid hit the top of my sleeve... but not the "STOP EATING" full feeling!  Am I doing something wrong???

The nerve endings in your stomach have been cut it will be a while before you feel "full". it's the reason we weigh out food as soon as we progress to mushies.  That being said slow is good with liquids.  Take in as much of them as you can, (Water and sugar free anything plus jello) High intake is good with liquids, a lot of new sleevers suffer from dehydration early on and it's really unpleasant.  so you're doing good and ahead of the game.  Start weighing everything s soon as you get to semi-solid food.

Good luck with your recovery

I can't add much to the response above, just to say that this happened to me also, and I'm now definitely able to tell when I'm getting full!  Best of luck for your weight loss!!

All of those things are considered "liquids". You won't feel full until your pyloric valve encounters solids. You're doing fine! Good luck!!

It's hard at first to distinguish "full".  If you're still on all liquids just make sure you're sipping, eating slowly and getting the total amount in that's required by your doctor.   The "full" signal is going to come across loud and clear once you start solids - trust me :-)

For me there's a different feeling between liquid full and food full. Don't ever mix your food and liquid because YOW!
