Still stalled....
I had surgery on July 22nd (on a Monday) and this past Monday began my 4th week.
I think I lost 18.9 pounds from my surgery date and then stopped....I haven't lost anything in 10 days.
I don't know what I am doing wrong. My calories are less than 600, my carbs are less than 30, my protein is around 60...I am drinking water....maybe not enough but as much as I can. I'm not sneaking junk. The one thing I am not doing is exercising but its not only because I started back to work and I am exhausted when I get home....it's because my blood pressure is volatile and the doctor said to wait.
Anyway, I almost feel like I didn't have the surgery at all...I'm not eating like a pig but I'm not losing. Arghhhh!

Maggie,
I can already see your problem "I am drinking water...maybe not enough..."
Water is critical for breaking stalls and here is why. Water is very heavy. One gallon weighs 8 lbs. When you don't drink enough water your body retains water. Retaining just 1 qt of water (1 16oz bottle worth) is 2lbs. So you maybe losing weight but if you retaining between a qt (2lbs) and a gallon (8lbs) you could have lost weight and it won't show on the scale.
So you need to be drinking not 64oz (the minimum you should drink) but more like 100oz because you need the extra water to flush out toxins and fat and ketones.
As for exercise, B*****t you should be walking 30 to 60 mins a day. Your exhaustion will go away about 5 mins into the walk. Do 15 min in the morning and 15 min in the evening. I can't imagine your doc would be against a walk, particularly with your BP problems.
Another thing for women that can cause stalls is hormones. Increase your healthy fats (go up to 800 calories and you will be fine) by getting more salmon, olive oil, almonds, avocado, flax, etc. and I am sure your stall will break if its hormonal. Now if your hormones are terribly out of balance you may need some help from your lady doc but I would try the increased fats first. I just found out yesterday that hemp is a great source of these fats as well, plus its high in protein. I found some hulled hemp at Costco (a bit pricy at $15 for a 2lb bag) but its got sort of a nutty flavor so you could really add it to everything. 1 serving has 20g of healthy fats, 10g of protein, and 5g of carbs. so great product to have on hand and eat every day. Great sprinkled on salad.
