6 months and ONDERLAND!!
I was beginning to wonder if it would happen. Don't you love how the scale just tortures us? 199.4!!
Today is my 6 month anniversary. Can't believe it's been that long! I feel like I'm just learning how to live post sleeve. How to eat out with the family? How to shop for clothes for myself in a regular store? How to accept a compliment? It's all very overwhelming at times. But I'm so excited to see how far I've come. I finally hit ONEDERLAND today. A little gift! First time in over 15 years that there's a 1 in front on that silly scale.
I saw my doctor last week for my check up. BP 117/70! I've lost 92 pounds in 6 months!! He said I was at his goal for me at 1 year. I've always thought his goals were too low, but I crushed them! He was grinning big looking at my progress! Now the real work begins. I have at least 50 more to go. Probably more to get lower into the my ideal weight range. Though I'm going to play it by ear once I hit the 150's and see how I look and feel. But I know what to do! I just have to keep going on that plan, keep my head down, and watch my back side shrink!
Still TONS of hair loss. It got bad at about 4 months and it continues, but that's the price you pay I guess.
OH has been a great resource for me since 6 months pre-sleeve. I love reading about where everyone is and the celebrations and struggles. Really helps me not feel like I'm on an island.
Here's to the next 6 months. Now the real work begins! Here's a picture. I never take them of myself, but did today. I'm amazed!
you look great!! You could never tell that you've lost lots of hair..I'm almost 6 weeks out and already starting with the hair loss and I have thin hair to begin with..so it begins!! lol 92 lbs in 6 months is a wonderful achievement..if you can do that then you can get to your goal I'm sure!!

TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal! BMI from 55.6 supermorbidly obese to 23.6 normal!!!!
Congrats on hitting Onederland! It's a major milestone and just one of many you'll be hitting along your journey. You look MARVELOUS by the way, and your hair looks really good! :-)
