Hey everyone! I'm on my 2nd day and I'm in a lil pain but I'm making sure I take my medicine on time. I'm suppose to start my protein drinks again today, because my doctor only required me to do clear liquids for 2 days. I'm just happy I made it thru surgery successfully. There are some things I wanted to share with the group. As I was having surgery my doctor found a possible tumor on my liver which he removed. I was told that he would be sending it off to do a biopsy to make sure it's not cancer. Also there was a polyp in my stomach that was also removed as well. I also had a hiatal hernia that had to be removed. I just wanted to share with you all that if I would have never had surgery I would have never known I had those other medical issues. I thank god for my sleeve and for having an amazing surgeon. Dr. Bruce is by far the best doctor I have ever had. I'm just happy that I'm recovering well and I can't wait until the pounds start to fall off!!! Thanks again every for all the feedback and support!

I'm so glad you are doing well and that these issues were caught. I will be praying for a no-cancer ruling... but whatever happens, know that you are on a road to healthier life and that we are here to support you!! Hang in there!!!

Glad you are okay. I had a hernia repaired as well and they found a polyp in my stomach.  They said that the polyp was benign so they didn't do anything with it.

Glad to hear that you are doing so well postop.  Sounds like you got full service there.  ;)  Please keep us posted on your biopsy results -- most likely nothing to worry about.  Hang in there!

Hi,

I have my sleeve in 2 weeks. Is there a lot of pain the first day or so, and I have been told to get a hospital type bed for at home. Do you think that is necessary? I am anxious to finally get this done and lose the weight. Hope your biopsy turns out ok. Glad your doing well.

the 1st couple of days were tough but not unbearable. I slept in my own bed on night 3. it was hard getting up and down but I dont think you will need a hospital bed.

See, it's not so bad! All the worrying you did before surgery was for naught wasn't it?
