Crossfittin'!
Just did my first crossfit class! Wow, intense but doable. We did as many reps as possible in 10 minutes, 15 deep squats, 10 push ups, 10 sit ups. It was simple but high intensity and pace. Pretty cool. My legs are like jello though. I walked down the stairs after class and almost fell twice. I had to do each foot at a time onto the next step! Ridiculous. Beast mode, here I come!
I personally don't care for Crossfit, because a doctor we know has too many patients in his office with serious injuries from Crossfit clients. He said the way you're supposed to weight lift is slow and steady, but Crossfit does it the opposite. As a matter of fact, one of our neighbors works at Crossfit and one of her friends severely injured himself during one of their Crossfit games and now has permanent spinal cord damage. He was uninsured, so people are trying to raise money for the surgeries he needs. He may never be able to walk again. I realize these things don't happen to everyone, but there are (a lot) of injuries to be had there, so be very careful.
