Incision site red and raised

One of my incisions is red and raised up. It doesn't really hurt and I don't have a fever. I'm 8 days postop right now. Would you think that's normal? I left a msg with my dr's office and am waiting to hear back. Just a little nervous.

I also had one incision that was a little more red and raised after surgery. it seemed to be one of the bigger and deeper ones. 4 months post op and that particular one is taking longer to fade. As long as it's not hurting and as you said no fever, it's probably nothing..however your Dr will let you know for sure.

It sounds pretty normal. If it was infected it would be painful and probably have some pus in it.  None of my sleeve incisions look like this, but one of my incisions from gallbladder surgery looked exactly like yours.  It is starting to soften up now, 1-1/2 years later, and one end is flat and pink now. i think in time it will look better.

If your red and raised incision begins to hurt, has pus in it or you run a fever you need to be seen right away. Good idea calling the surgeon. They may want to look at it, just to be sure.
