..and the whole "starvation mode" thing has been refuted by science and discussed on here ad nauseum.  Yet "brilliant" nutritionists still spout that nonsense.  Go ahead and do a search for the topic on here.

I've been thinking that 130 may have been unrealistic..I'm not a small girl, I got man hands and a big chest( rib cage) which sticks out now..I have been trying to find a place by me that does the bod-pod but no luck so far...

I believe and not believe in the starvation mode depending on the day and where my thought patterns are for the day...

and it as my PA not my NUT that told me to up cals and starvation mode,( mistyped in previous post) and she's 5lbs soaking wet, hence the eye roll to her when she told me of both things..  I really need to get my head strait and to stop fixating...

hopefully the warmer weather will come and I'll be distracted by sunshine and warmth!!

I know I said it was real lol, whatever you might want to call it "starvation mode" or "I'm gonna put weight on if I even THINK about eating more than I have been" it still sucks. I went through a period of eating 500 calories a day, lost a considerable amount of weight. But when I tried increasing the slightest bit, adding 150 calories, I shot right back up. Threw my hands in the air and said , "well, don't even care!" stuffed my face with pizza that night lol.  I know, it was a horrible decision, and looking back I hope I wouldn't have done that knowing what I know now!

It is frustrating.  I am stuck right now at 145.  Like you said - that is a laugh since I can't remember when I last saw that number on my scale.  130 is also my goal.  We'll see if that can be a reality for me.

There are ways to increase your calorie intake without eating much more food. Switch low or reduced fat versions of food for a higher fat version. Portion out some almonds or walnuts in a small container and eat them throughout the day, the fats in nuts are very good for you. You don't want your calories to come from added sugar, you want food which is still good for you.
