The 2-3 week stall

I was sleeved 21 days ago.  The scale hasn't budged in days (after the delight of shedding 17 lbs from the morning of surgery...)

I read about this.  I knew it would likely happen.  Sticking to plan and going to keep going.

But feel free to tell me how it happened to you and my weight loss isn't over.  It helps. :)

Yep, I stalled in that exact same time period. Keep going and doing what you should be.... It will pick back up before you know it.

I was sleeved 4/28 and lost 10 lbs in two weeks and have been virtually stuck ever since....up and down 1lb. for about a week and a half.  Eating well, walking, grrrrr....  I guess all we can do is keep it up and know eventually the scale will move again.

Ugh, I KNOW...dancing around the same pound.  Well, same 1/2 pound.  We'll be so excited when it moves!

I made it to a whopping 7 days out before I hit my first stall - and was stuck at 299-300 pounds for over 2 weeks.  But when the scale did move again, I dropped 5 pounds overnight. I graph my daily weigh-ins (I tried weekly weigh-ins during the "big" stall and it still made me crazy, so I went back to daily) and I'm very much a "stair-step" loser. I go 5-6 days without losing anything and then drop 2-3 pounds overnight. It is what it is. I'm just happy the overall trend is down!

Good luck! It will pass soon, no worries.

I'm a daily girl with a Fitbit Aria scale.  The graph was so pretty!  Now, not so much.  Thanks!

Oh me too! I am 4 months out and have been dancing around the same pound for over 2 weeks. I just wrote this earlier - i know its hard but i had my husband hide my scale for a week! Weighing daily when the scale consistently goes down even 0.25lbs, is very motivatioinal and i love it. When it stops, not so much fun lol.

Take your measurements, stay on plan and the trend will break. I asked the same questions around the same number of weeks out you are. You are not done losing, you will lose more, you just have to mentally navigate through this time period.

If you've got an Aria, I highly recommend setting up an account at TrendWeight.  Once it gets enough data, it's great at showing you what your trend will be, even when the daily weight fluctuations are being annoying :)

It will pass.  I have had what seems like 3 slow loss phases so far.

For me, I figured out that my losses are greatest the week leading up to and the week of my period - the time when estrogen is lowest.  I was thinking that I was in little stalls, but really it is a hormonal thing for me and I just have to wait it out.

I like the idea of a stair-step pattern more than calling it a stall.  You know it will drop eventually.

Good Luck!
