stage 2 food

I am entering stage 2 in a few days. Advice on introduction of food is desired.  I bought a baby bullet to puree and will be making up 2oz servings of veggies. Potatoes. Etc.    Has anyone a suggestion for meat?  I am attempting  purees with deli meat as suggested in my book.  However I wonder about the small jars of meat no additives  for babies.

Sure thing. I was super happy to get to puréed foods since it meant I could cook again!

I didn't puree the scrambled eggs, just cooked them soft and wet with the melted cheese and ate them that way.

How many days post-op does Stage 2 actually start?  I'm a bit confused... I had my sleeve surgery on Dec. 21 - out of the hospital Dec. 23 that's when I had my first sip of water.  My doctor has me on a liquid diet plan from Dec. 23 to 2nd January - which would be about 11 days... anyone started stage 2 earlier than these 11 days?

It depends on the surgeon's plan. They're all different. I was on full liquids for 14 days, puréed foods for 14 days, and then soft solids for 14 days.

I was allowed organic chicken and gravy and turkey and gravy baby food on full liquid

I skipped the parried stage and went to all food after 2 weeks (thats my surgeons plan)

I am in that phase now. I have had luck with baby food meats.  the only thing is the amount of sodium.  I always get the Gerber chicken, beef, or turkey in broth (not gravy) when I can find it. Just eat slow and it may sound silly but invest in an infant spoon.  When I first started this phase 2 weeks ago I ate some cream soup with a regular spoon and ate too much too fast. If you eat slow your stomach will tell you when it is enough.  Also, always eat protein first.  For one it is important to have the room in your stomach for it and two it causes you to stay full longer.  See Frisco's post Pyloric Valve 101(you may have to go to the search box) .  It helped clarify the "why?" for me.  Good luck
