misTJ I am scheduled to be sleeved on Jan. 12th.  I am now on day 3 of my liquid diet (nothing but 4 diabetic Boosts a day and water).  I think right now I am more apprehensive about the surgery than excited about the possible results.  I hope the excitement will come post op.

Hi everyone. I'm getting sleeved Jan 19, 2015 and start my 2 week preop diet on monday, lucky for me will be on a very reduced calorie, low carb and low in fat diet and it an all liquid diet. I'm excited and nervous a out the surgeries. I'm ready for the change that is coming and back to feeling good about myself and not being uncomfortable in my own skin.

The pre-op diet was soooo much harder for me than anything I experienced post-op. I think mainly because I wasn't sure the WLS would work for me. I'd been chasing the dream of being a normal weight (and failing) for years. If I had known for sure what my outcome would be a year later, it would have made the pre-op diet so much easier.

P.S. All the mental and physical suffering you suffer through during the pre-op diet is sooooooooo worth it!!! Unfortunately only post-op will you find out the pre-op diet was worth the trouble.

Hey there! I'm 1/14 too and I started my liquid diet today! Are you allowed any regular food with your shakes? I can have 4-5 shakes a day plus 2 pieces of fruit and around a cup of veggies.

Let's power through! Two weeks to go!

Not allower anything but liquids is so silly becaue one shake is 250 cal and im allowed 3 plus water. I would do so much better on a reduced cal diet. I dont know if I can do this. I have headaches all day and chess pains at one point. Im doing it tho im pushing through.

I am getting a revision from band to sleeve on 1/14 also but I did NOT have to do any type of diet before I wonder why.
