Gallstones even with Ursodiol?
I've read a number of studies that say the reason major weight loss often comes at the expense of the gallbladder is because of a massive reduction in fat intake. Our gallbladders need fat to keep working correctly. I'd imagine that your diet of ribeye has helped to stave off the gallbladder issues :)

That's interesting, I've never heard that. It might explain a lot. I've never shied away from fat. It's certainly a lot healthier than simple carbs.

I've seen many needing their GB out right during their rapid weight-loss phase, only months out of surgery. I consider myself lucky that my surgeon just removed mine (and appendix) during my DS surgery. Now if I have a serious pain, there's no time wasted ruling those out.

I already get gall stones so I was going to ask my surgeon if he'd just pop that little asshole out too while he's got me all puffed up! Save myself in the long run
