Found out today that my paperwork wasn't summited for approval yet. Mega upset! It was supposed to be summited last week, but wasn't and now I'm being told maybe tomorrow. It's hard enough waiting to see if I'm going to be approved, but this extra waiting just for them to summit my paperwork to even get my approval or not is crazy..... Sorry for the rant! trying not to cry!

Don't lose hope. It's in their best interest to get the paperwork submitted because this is how they make money. They will get it done.

Better for them to take a little extra time and make sure the paperwork is right than hurry to get it submitted only to have it be wrong.  Which is what happened to me.  They got everything submitted for the WRONG damn surgery!  I got an approval letter from my insurance company for RNY...only I was supposed to get VSG.  So guess what?  We had to go through the whole paperwork submission process again - argh!

So sorry about the delays.  I had a lot of delays waiting for the NP to submit the paperwork, and it was so frustrating.

I'd suggest to keep calling the insurance company and asking if they received it.  I had trouble with another surgery where the request didn't have the proper id number, and it went into never-never land. I had to have the surgeon resubmit it.   So be proactive.

Once the insurance company got my paperwork, it was approve in a few days.  So you will get there!  just keep the faith.

best wishes,

Carol
