Tomorrow (Sept 27) is the Big Day!

So tomorrow (Sept 27, 2016) is the big day!  I'll be arriving at the hospital at 11am and surgery for my VSG is scheduled for 1:15pm.  I've been on the pre-op diet for 2 weeks and I've lost about 20 pounds.  The crazy thing is, I'm not nervous, at least not yet.  I'm eager to get it over-with.  I want to get wheeled in, put to sleep, and wake up as quickly as I can :)  I'll post as soon as I'm able, but who knows when that'll be.  Thanks all, for the support and messages.  Overall this surgery seems straightforward with less risk than other options, plus I have a great surgeon and hospital, so I'm in good hands.

Whoohoo! I wasn't nervous either. It felt right I guess. Before they wheel you to the operating room they give you something to relax and it works really, really well lol. Then the next thing you know they are trying to wake you up but you will just want to sleep. You will love your sleeve! Let us know how it goes!

Congrats on the 20 lbs so far!

Hopefully they wheel you in. I had to walk in both times with my stupid failed gastric bands. I cannot wait to get my sleeve!!! Best of luck on a speedy, pain free recovery..Keep us posted on how you do.

Good Luck! And it's funny how when we know something is the right decision, there's no nervousness

I actually walked into the operating room and got on the table myself - so don't be surprised if they do that!

Good Luck to you!  I wasn't nervous either.  I was so grateful to be able to FINALLY have a tool to help control my weight.  And, to this day, I still think this was the greatest gift I have ever given myself.
