Sleeve stretching and vitamin ****tails

The rumor is sleeves stretch. Some people describe being able to eat as much as they did before and experience regain so what gives? From what I've read so far the answer is yes and no. One doctor explained the portion of stomach remaining never regenerates. Stomach size after surgery is what it is and will never be as big as before. What the stomach does is acquire compliance. The stomach you have left will learn to stretch out to hold whatever amount of food you put into it, and once that food moves through, will shrink back down to the size it was before eating much like inflating and deflating a balloon.

That explanation sounds reasonable but for one thing. When we're born we all have a more or less normal sized stomach. If we suffer from obesity we've over time stretched that stomach out until it grew big enough to hold enormous amounts of food. If the portion removed during VSG is directly indicative of what the stomach is capable of, then yes the stomach must be able to physically stretch and stay stretched else there'd be no excess to remove, right? In that vein, I hear of people having revisions done. If the stomach doesn't stretch after VSG what exactly are the doctors doing during revision?

Vitamin ****tails. If you will please let me know what kinds of vitamins you take and what amounts. I have no info on this. If it's out there to find, great! I'll do that. I have time and the desire. If you don't mind sharing, wonderful. Thank you. I don't want to be 'that woman' who goes on a forum and expects everyone to do her work for her. This is just beginning panic and I'm sure it'll pass. I'm doing a bunch of reading and looking myself but I find word of mouth is the best thing since sliced bread.

I saw someone mention calcium this morning. I've read calcium supplements cause cancer is people who're predisposed. Is this going to be safe for us long term? Thoughts?

There is a default setting on OH that will remove adult content. Not remove it, but block it from your view. It's annoying, and even will block the end of one word and into the beginning of the next. Even something like "tha****er" will block out the **** from both words.

Everything is still there, but if you leave the default in place, it's hidden. I forget where it is in the settings, but just change it so you can see "adult content."

Now I finally understand why tha****er gets filtered! Lol, this made me chuckle!! I couldn't figure out why things were getting filtered that otherwise were just fine, but never thought to look at the word/letter combinations!

Your old stomach was about the size of a two liter bottle of soda and could stretch to hold a lot of food.  Your sleeve size depends on the boogie size your surgeon used.  Here is a picture representing from tiny to huge size sleeves.

Your sleeve will stretch as you heal, but in the end hold the capacity of about 8-12 ounces.  It is never going to stretch out to the old size, because almost all of the old stomach has been cut off.

Interesting! I have my surgery notes but unfortunately bougie size isn't mentioned. :-/ It does say my sleeve size is approximately 100mL.

Most surgeons stay about 34 boogie size.  But even a 54 boogie would be much tinier than the old stomach.
