Is my pain something to be concerned about?

If you're worried, call your surgeon.

I know that I had pain around the incision where they pulled my stomach out during surgery.  For the shoulder pain, it's an issue with the gas from surgery and walking as much as you can will help to alleviate it.  To me, it just felt like ache.

One of the worst pains I had early out (first couple of weeks) was because I needed to poop. I didn't have bad pain with the surgery, but the poop pain made me call them. I added Miralax and was able to take a poop and all was good. Even now, 2 1/2 years out and the pain from needing a poop hits in weird places (tightness in my chest, pain across my back).

But of course, call your doctor's office if you are concerned. They are there to help.
