So, if you're drinking 64+ ounces of water a day, how many times a day are you peeing?

and question 2, related to question 1, does the weight loss resolve stress incontinence, or am I going to have to live on the bathroom.

im up to 2+ litres a day now, and I don't want to be too far from the bathroom.

I don't actually count how many times I pee.

I guess the stress incontinence would be a good question for your doctor.

I pee several times a day, and yes, incontinence was an actual bullet on my surgeons presentation, listed amongst the issues that resolve or get better with weightloss.

I find that when I am dropping weight that I pee A LOT. (10+ times a day). That is usually how I tell when a stall I'm experiencing is breaking. But, I have CKD so this may be specific to my situation. On a normal day, I go 3-5 times.

Q2 is probably a good one for your surgeon. I have no clue.

This happens to me too. I just finished a 3-week stall a few days ago. Peeing like a racehorse is followed by a drop--3.5 pounds in just the past few days. I haven't done anything different. I've come to the conclusion that the body needs to lose at its own pace. I should hit -100 pounds within the next few days! The light is at the end of the tunnel.

It is really interesting question. I drink close to 120-150 oz of liquids.

unless I drink diet soda (diet Pepsi, coke or things like that) I have no problem with incontinence.

in my house we have a saying: you can give her diet Pepsi or make her laugh, jut don't do that at the same time. There is something in diet soda that aggravates my bladder and muscles there. The only diet soda that do not affect me is brand name diet tonic (sweetened with saccharine) Aspartame or splenda - both irritates the muscles down there.

It took me a week of not drinking drinks with to realized my "problem" was a sweetener related.

As I am a woman over 60, I had problems with overactive bladder prior to surgery. As I have been losing weight it really has not changed as I am drinking my 64 oz at least a day. Still need to wear pads (just in case) and find that I must take an opportunity to use the facilities whenever it presents itself.

Just thinking about having to go makes me have urgency. I cannot take bladder control medication due to other medicines I take. My PCP tells me I have lost estrogen from weight loss. (fat apparently holds on to estrogen) Estrogen loss can contribute to bladder incontinence. Small price to pay but still an inconvenience.
