Hello, I had my surgery on Monday, the 18th. All went well and I was released the day after. Right now the biggest challenge I'm having is the HEARTBURN. Any suggestions on how to settle this down would be greatly appreciated.

Did you surgeon give you a prescription for a PPI? Your new sleeve is likely still producing acid at the rate it did when you had a full stomach. When means its too much. A PPI will help to relieve the burn. I was on a PPI for at least a month after surgery. If you are on a PPI and it's not helping, you should call your surgeon as well.

Many of us need to take a PPI for the first few weeks/months post-op. Something like Nexium or Prilosec.

Also make sure you're drinking enough.
