well finally papers were sent to Dr Shin my 6 months supervised diet from PEIA when I had it now I have Carelink and going to get lapband. See Dr and dietician 18 have to call for psyche eval so im on my way wish me luck.... scared now that its finally happening .....

Hi Beth, I have seen Dr Shin in passing.... we have talked via email few times I used to have Peia and now carelink ppo and it is brand new for our company.. it covers lap and gastric I got the actual codes emailed Carelink and kept their email that yes it was covered under my policy even verfied benfits so they better not try to back out I worked for insurance for years before going to new job and I know if you verify have it in writing they have to cover it but if worse comes to worse gastric is covered and Ill go that route if i have to anything to get healthy and off these medications! I know Dr Shin is wonderful dr... I went thru year of peias weight loss didnt do very good with metabolix and when i knew I wasnt gonna get the needed time in for approval i just gave up .... sounds familiar with dieters huh? but thanks for responding this board isnt very active ..... take care ...
