Foster parenting??

How do I become a foster parent in my town? What do I need to do?

Hi Tonya, Go to your local COUNTY and they will have a foster agency there. Also there are private agencys in every area. From there you will be offered classes with all of the information. Most agencies will then ask for references, be interviewed, be fingerprinted and have a criminal check completed. It all goes very quickly. Good Luck Judy

DH and I were foster parents 20 years ago. We ended up adopting the last placement because we already had 2 biological boys and wanted a girl. Here we are all these years later, the girl we adopted is 17 and although we have had ups and downs (had them with our biological boys as well!) we would not have done anything different. Good luck!
