Weird question

Hi - I have kind of a strange question. I am a singer - kind of professional, sing for all kinds of things. Classically trained and all that. Does anyone know if the RNY sugery and subsequent weight loss will have an impact on singing?
I was thinking that it would help with breath control, but a couple of my friends have expressed concern that my voice may be altered.....
Does anyone have an answer or know any singer that had WLS??

I know a couple who had the DS, but I'm not sure any of them still post here. So far as I know, they're all happy with the results, voice-wise.

I know of an opera singer who had DS, and I think I recall her saying there was something that "felt" different, however it didn't impede her ability at all.  That being said -- she did pop herself a hernia hitting a high note.

Thank you so much for your replies. I did research the opera singers - and the best information I came up with was that the projection was a lot different. I guess I'll have to have faith that it won't go anywhere, and that the only thing I lose is weight!
