MY SURGERY IS DEFINITELY BETTER THAN YOUR SURGERY!!!

Egad - I left this Board 2 years ago because of this crap.  I pop back in and it's STILL going on???!????!   People pick the surgery they do because it meets their needs, minimizes their fears and just plain fits their lifestyle.  Why some folks feel a need to point why others are "wrong" is beyond me.  

You get the award (if one existed) for most sensible answer!!! Thank you!

Well, we can't all just get along if people post misinformation and, when someone corrects them, people scream "why do you have to have have surgery wars?" or "why are you all 'my surgery is better than yours?'" Um, posting links to studies and correcting misinformation is NOT saying "my surgery is better than yours." It's saying here is some actual data on the subject so people can make up their minds with real data and not myths and misinformation.
