It's NOT UHC, it's what your employer is willing to pay for in what they offer their employees.

DH had UHC at the time of his surgery but his was thru GE which paid for far more than most at the time...it was considered a "Cadillac" plan. Since he has been retired and on Medicare, no clue what is offered now.

Start with your HR dept. They are the ones who control what you have in your policy.

Southern Lady is absolutely correct, it's not whether UHC excludes the procedure but whether your employer does. UHC does not make the coverage rules, your employer does. The coverage through my primary UHC was that they would pay for the hospital but not the surgeon. My secondary insurance picked up the tab for the surgeon (also UHC through another plan).
