I love your idea for Wendy's Cihli.  Never thought of that.  EXCELLENT.  Thank you.

I'm 5 to 6 weeks out of gastric bypass.  Can anyone give me some food ideas, I've been eating the same things over and over and getting really tired of it.

I really want to find something to drink beside water, but Crystal Light is sweet, and hate the after taste, I don't like Tea, Diet Cranberry Juice is too sweet even watered down.  I don't know what to do, I'm really thirsty and starting to hate water.

There are several studies that show a limited diet is actually healthier. I find it also helps keep straying from my eating plan easier. It also aids in looking at food as fuel, rather than a reward, comfort, etc.

My last four meals, I've had cheeseburgers. I'm looking forward to another one for breakfast. Last year, I had nothing but ham for 9 days. Not a single other thing. Just ham. Mmmmmmm.

Grim, I know you lost a lot of weight and my surgery is in another week, do you eat anything besides meat, or is that it?  What did you eat right after surgery?

Right now, the vast majority is meat with some cheese and protein bars thrown in.

Early on, I did prprotein shakes, then added beans, cheese, and then deli meat. Deli ham was my earliest friend after surgery, followed by beef tenderloin.

Yes!!  I've been on a kick eating roast beef with horseradish sauce and I'm not even close to getting sick of it!

Try Mio berry pomegranate.  I can't stand CL because it's so sweet.  This flavor is a little tart and now it's all I drink in water.

I'll be 8 weeks out tomorrow and here is what my notebook from my doctor says I can have at 6 weeks until 4 months:

4 small meals/day.  No more than 1/2 cup per meal.  65-75 grams Protein.  64 oz water or other sugar-free beverages between meals.

canned tuna or chicken, packed in water or in pouches.  I love the tuna pouches (many different flavors); eggs or egg beaters, reduced fat cheese, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, yogurt, skim, 1% or 1/2% milk; Protein shakes, LF Deli meats, lean beef jerkey, Peanut Butter (I do PB2); skinless chicken, skinless turkey, lean pork, lean ground beef or use lean ground turkey, lean ham, fish steamed or poached, crab, scallops, oysters, shrimp, Tofu or soy products such as veggie burger patties, beans and lentils.  Cooked tender vegetables w/o peels or seeds like green beans, carrots, red beets, squash/yams, potatoes, mashed or baked w/o skins, spinach, lettuce, seedless cucumbers, w/o skin, canned peaches or pears packed in own juice or water, applesauce unsweetened, banana, ripe melon, soft ripe fruit w/o skin and no more than 1/4 cup (2oz) per day.

Starches:  Cream of wheat, oatmeal, toasted bread (1/2 slice) Melba toast, pita/flat bread, flour tortilla, low sugar cold cereal such as rice krispies.  Some on these  boards frown on the starches.  I'm just listing what my doctor says is allowed.  I rarely, rarely do starches.

Hope this helps.
