Sad to say I've never ridden a horse. I want to though. I didn't want to hurt the horses back when I was heavier, but now that most of the weight is off I'd like to ride one. It's so sad to see, the last horse stable in Brooklyn is in bankruptcy, according to the news there used to be 5 of them. It's just too expensive I guess for the owner to keep it open.

I think the mayor is trying to make it so that the new owner, whenever he'll appear, will keep it open.

Such a shame, I think its been here since the horse & buggy days.

I don't know how to be zen. The word alone makes me stressed. I am the worst person to have in a yoga class because I always start laughing.

I am a screamer and a very loud sing along singer in the car. Miss that now that I don't drive. But I do yell in the shower to clear out my head.

I manage a business.  Things can get really stressful.

I need at least 2 hours in evening to unwind.

For me that can be cooking, then stupid - simple shows like housewifes, or Grimm. And last but not least - simple books or even as a last resort - simple games on my tablet.  I tried coloring but it is not for me.

Hot bath - with a book - but I need to be careful since I have tendency to overheat.  Exercises - but only during the day - if I try working out late - that may prevent me from sleeping.

For sleep aid - I use essential oils diffuser, plus magnesium and tryptophan at night. That and my progesterone I need to take normally knocks me out in 20-30 min.  But unless I unwind before bed - my sleep would be restless. (Got fitbit - so I know,)

Yoga - meditation- even shirt one is really helpful.

Someone suggested an app - headspace. - but I have not log on it yet. I got it a couple of nights before...Just have not tried it yet

Walking my dogs, Zentangle, and as White Dove mentioned, cleaning, are my go-to spots for decompressing.

I like meditation. I have Wellness CD's. I use the full body scan and sometimes the yoga. It calms me

I listen to Chillstep/Ambient music.

This is going to sound weird, but when I'm anxious or bored, I roll paper. I tear off pieces of copy paper and roll it. I usually tear off a strip of paper about 1-3 inches in length, and about 1/4 of a centimeter in width (kinda like strips of paper after it's been through a shredder). I'm not exactly sure why I do it; I guess the texture feels good, lol. I've been rolling paper since I was 14. At first I was using Orbit gum paper wrappers. Then I started using my my school assignment papers (bad idea). Then I started rolling receipt paper. Now I'm back to rolling copy paper, but it HAS to be a certain kind of paper. My favorite kind is Neenah Bond 25% cotton. I used to be ok with rolling any kind of copy paper, but once I found Neenah Bond 25% cotton, nothing else feels the same. Now, it's like any other paper is too thin and breaks off too easily. Neenah Bond is a bit thicker and soft. (God, I sound like an addict, lol. ) I started rolling objects when I was a toddler. I would suck my thumb and roll my pillowcase between my fingers as I slept. Then, as I got a bit older, I would sneak into my mom's make-up vanity, and take her make-up sponges (the circular flat ones in Clinique pressed powder), and I would play with them until they fell apart. She would get so mad, lol. I would also take the tiny black ball out of her Clinique roll-on eyeliner after she used it all, and I would roll it. I found that this habit is associated with OCD; I was diagnosed when I was 15. If I don't have paper to roll, I get very antsy. I don't get irritable or anything; just fidgety. It's a constant habit. I especially have to roll paper when I'm watching TV or a movie.
