Some of our members that answered "Yes" shared the following comments with us:

"I like knowing who is growing my food."
"Amazing fresh fruits and vegetables. As far as I am concerned there is no better way to eat in the summer!"
"Fresher produce. Like to buy local - supports our local economy and reduces carbon footprints."
"The food is always fresh, affordable and delicious. I love farmers markets because they are vibrant, a great way to get to know your community and a lot of fun."
"Awesome! They have much fresher produce and at a cheaper price! Most of it is local grown! AND if I tend to hit the stand towards the end of the weekend they will discount leftovers - I have learned to can and freeze as much as I can this summer so I will be stocked for the winter months!"
"Good but prices can be a little high."
"It seems that most of the produce is grown here in Virginia. I always look for very fresh, ripe, red tomatoes. Last time I went to a particular one, I was ecstatic to find salad lettuces and kale, which are very high and nutrient dense."
"Great experience! I enjoy a good variety and some great suggestions from the farmers."
"Always the freshest stuff at really good prices. You can be sure that it was ripe when they picked it. Unlike the bland and tasteless fruits and vegetables from the store."

Some of our members that answered "No" shared the following comments with us:

"The farmers markets around me have very limited hours."
"Not sure of the processing. Doesn't seem clean - or fresh - even though it supposedly is."
"Is not close to my home."
"Expensive."
"Isn't convenient."
"The farmers market here is 10 -12 miles away. Kroger and Walmart is 3-5. I live in a small town (3 miles from one end to the other) and there isn't one around. I would love to find a Farmers Market close by to get my produce."
