Website Changes
If you are reading this you can see that the new site design is now up and running! There were a few problems here and there but, for the most part, everyone seems to be enjoying the changes, especially the new navigation structure, the Latest Blog Posts area on the homepage and of course Meebo!
Here are a few comments from members about the new changes.
hercules411 - "So much easier to navigate. I love the chat. I hope people don't get so busy on it that they post less though."

Ok, so we left out the bad stuff but we'll get to that :)
In case you aren't quite sure what we went and changed on you, here is a quick summary of the new design and features:

New Look - As you can see we gave ObesityHelp a new paint job and redesigned the homepage in order to highlight more of the actions of the entire community. |

Improved Navigation - One of the top requests from our members was a better navigation system. With the new changes, it seems that we have addressed the needs of the community and made navigating the site far easier and faster. |

Community Pulse - Our Health Tracker has been getting some serious usage lately and the Community Pulse, which can be found on the homepage, shows off a few community stats as members record their weight loss, food intake and activity. |

Latest Blog Posts - Now you can access the latest blog posts from a number of different members and groups right from the homepage. |

Meebo - This is a pretty nice addition to OH. Meebo, which is located in the bottom right hand corner of your browser, is an instant messaging system that allows you to instant message with friends on ObesityHelp, as well as other services, such as: MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, Facebook and others. |
A Few Problems and a Few Thank You Kudos!
Of course, no release goes without a few bugs here and there, but with your feedback we are generally able to find and fix the problems fairly quickly. Let's see, some of the issues that stood out the most include:
- There was an issue with the Meebo bar not appearing for quite a few people, but thanks to members reporting the issue, we were able to solve the problem pretty quickly. This turned out to be a browser caching issue and did not require any fixes from us.
- Several OH Group owners and members reported not being able to reply to message board posts within a group. This was fixed and appears to be back to normal and working fine.
- Just Janie and a few others noticed an issue with the browser back button not functioning properly sometimes when you are reading a message board post and try to return to the previous page. This issue is still unresolved but we are looking into it. Thanks for pointing this out as I am sure it can be a bit frustrating.
Thanks to all of our members who provided such valuable feedback and to all of you who continue to help us keep the OH community running as smooth as possible.

How are we doing?
Please take the time to share your thoughts in the comments section below. Let us know how we are doing and how we can continue to improve ObesityHelp for our entire community. Many of the additions included in the latest release are a direct result of members like you letting us know what features and changes they would like to see.

Another Sneak Peak
For our members who have had the gastric band or are considering this type of surgery (Lap Band or REALIZE Band), in the next couple of weeks we will be releasing our Band Tracker. This addition to Health Tracker will make it breeze to track and monitor your band adjustments, total band volume and satiety levels!
Keep your eyes open for this new feature in the coming weeks.
Until next time, we hope you enjoy the new look and changes!
