There are many, many beading books out there. A lot depends on the type of beading you want to do. One good place to start is to go to a local bead store and see what beginner books they have. They can also help you find something that adresses the particular type you are interested in. It would also be a good to get a beading magazine, such as Beadwork. There are always some beginner projects in there. Bead & Button magazine is great, but some of there projects are a bit more advanced. But Bead & Button also has a series of small pamplets for beginners: B&B Easy Woven Bracelets, B&B Elegant Earrings, B&B Fiber and Beads, B&B Bead & Wire Jewelry Easy Does it Series, B&B Beaded Pictures. These were all listed on the Shipwreck BEads site under magazines. http://www.shipwreckbeads.com/results/?query_id=8c935035b0cde8f3c3de85d85d38ee91 This was in addition to an extensive book list at http://www.shipwreckbeads.com/catalog/Beading_Books Have fun, Teri

Beading is the best. I'm always amazed that I have the patience to bead when I have little patience for so many other things. And OMG, those CHAIRS! I fell in love with those chairs. My butt felt skinny. It was WEIRD! About the surgery, I need to update my profile. I decided not to have it. I sat myself down and did a personal inventory. I found that I haven't really given myself the opportunity to lose it on my own. I've dieted and lost 30 or 40 pounds and then I give it up and gain it back. But I've never really MADE myself really really really change my eating habits and exercise habits. I thought about it, and it became clear to me that even with the surgery, you still have to eat right, eat less, and exercise more. If I do that, I'll lose weight anyway. So I'm going to do that. I wish you the best in your journey. Several women I've met here had their surgeries done in Mexico. If I were denied with finality by my insurance company and still wanted the surgery, I'd probably look into it myself. It's a crying shame we can't bead while we walk isn't it? I'd give it a go on my treadmill but I don't think my fingertips would hold up to the needle sticks for long. :D Brandy

thanks so much Brandy .... I so love them lil beads... I was reading over your profile and you are just a bright light .... I know all about them small chairs and I think I like you would have been trying to put the chair under my arm on the way out ... I am sure my stomach and boobs would have hidden it for watchful eyes ....lol.... I love the beading books I dont think there is one I dont have for the lil ol` seed beads. I am trying to branch out to bracelets and I am thinking about putting some stuff on ebay.... I hope that you get approval for your surgery ... mine sadly was denied not once but twice so.... I am off to mexico as soon as I can save up but it is harder than I thought .... I put money in savings and some 911 episode happens and I am transfering money...........yells at top of lungs ... I am 41 and I will have this surgery!!!!!! sighs.... sniffles ... and thanks you again for your post huggers Kim

That's neat Kimi! I have most of those same designs. It's pretty cool to see the same earrings made in different colors than I chose for my own. I don't know about you, but I friggin' LOVE the magazine Beads to Buckskin. I can't remember the name of the other beading book where I found your other designs, but they are cherished in this house, believe me. Keep up the good work!

go to google and do a search for "clear sequins", with the quotation marks. You may have to mail order them. Do you have a Michael's in Moberly?
