Ok, so I don't think I've posted in here since before my surgery.  I'm 3 weeks out today and wanted to let everybody know I'm doing just fine.  I started back at work on Monday and am making it though ok.  Weight flew off the first week, but has been creeping a little ever since...or at least it seems like it has.  I think I've lost 2-3 pounds this week?  I hope it's just my body adjusting to the pureed diet.  It's so hard to not want the weight to fly off.

My incisions are healing nicely.  I had no drains and no stitches, so very little to worry about with upkeep.  3 small incisions on my left side are almost invisible.  My main 2 incisions on the right side are still scabs.

I was exhausted that first week.  Going for a walk was killer!  This week, I drug hubby to the gym and did 25 minutes on the elliptical, so I guess my energy is back!  I hated to come back to work but knew the routine would do me good.

My family is renting a house down at the coast about 1 mile from the beach this weekend.  They're fishermen and the house is on the river instead of the beach (BOO!).  I'm excited for the break away from everything!

Congrats and welcome.

The weight loss adds up quickly. It doesn't come off in a neat little pattern though.  Just follow your plan and go with the flow.  You'll be amazed at your progress.

You are doing great!

Don't judge the speed of your weight loss at 3 weeks, 3 month is a more reasonable time to evaluate and adjust you plan if needed.

25 minutes on a elliptical at 3 weeks is awesome.

Work as hard as your body will let you. This is the best time. Don't hurt yourself, but push yourself to the limit . You will love the reward at the end, a new, healthier you.

Since when is dropping 2-3lbs a week not considered awesome?!? I think that sounds pretty great to me- after all, we didn't gain this weight overnight, we won't lose it overnight.

Just keep focusing on staying on track, getting your water, protein, vites etc.. and less on the scale and you'll be a happier loser!

Good Luck,
