hi I am a heavy weight and I hope to have a sleeve in the next few months , going for the endoscope today

I have all ready lost more than 60 lbs pre op and need to loss an other 15 before surgery

I go to every support group meeting and almost all the people are doing great

if you follow a good plan you will lose most of the weight you need to, support is very important

myfitnesspal.com is very helpful to help you track what you eat , my surgeon puts most people on a 1200 cal plan before surgery , most people have to lose around 10 of extra weight before surgery , let the testing begin , plan on it taking at least 6 month till you get surgery, unless your self pay, , there are doctors in Mexico that will take you in 1-2 weeks

I know a lot of people who have had the sleeve. Most seem to maintain at about 30-50 pounds above their goal weight (I'd guess their BMI's are around 30), but they eat normally and have decided not to put forth the hard work it takes to get to goal and stay there. They are happy where they are, which is really what it is all about.

My kids were 3 and 5 when I had my RNY (8 and 10 now). I definitely feel like a better mom. I've had no issues and would do it again in a heartbeat. Maintaining my weight has been pretty easy for me.

Good luck!!

I would love to be 30 lb above my goal weight ,my high weight was 410 lb my goal is 150 lb , so 180 would be great , of course im trying for the 150 lb , i expect to lose around 75 lb before surgery  , losing has always been easy the hard part is keeping it off

thats why I need a sleeve
