weight loss after surgery

My husband had surgery a month ago and is now on the puree diet.  He lost 70 lbs before surgery and he has lost 30 lbs since.  He started at 347 and right now is hovering at 247.  He has been at this week for a week now and is getting very frustrated.  I told him that you have plateaus and I would ask and see if this is normal.  I had the surgery 11 months ago but I just can't remember. Most of the time patients experience anxiety it's because the explanation that was given to them is not enough. Maybe he needs more information and should be positive to the outcome. Good luck for that!
