I'm just curious to know how Mobic works for those with Fibro? Currently I'm on 120 mg of Cymbalta and 1200 mg of Neurontin. But I'm starting to hurt severely almost every day once again. I also think may be also causing me to extremely fatigued once again. It seems like once a find a combination of meds to work for me they only work for 6-12 months. I also have rheumatoid arthritis. I've read that Mobic is good for both conditions and would like to hear from someone who has taken it or is currently taking it.

Well I'm no help with the mobic as I've never heard of it but I do know you can take some huge doses of neurontin without any problems. It might be worth asking to up that and see if it helps while considering the mobic.

Thank you for your reply. I have a call in to my pcp to see if I can up my neurontin. Just worried it might make me tired during the day if I take too much a night. Do you have a problem with that?

I take 300 mg 3x a day and don't really have a problem with sleepiness. On the other hand I think I just have a strong tolerance because I also use a fentanyl patch and oxycodone as needed for break thru pain. I had a friend that used huge doses of neurontin for pain and I didn't notice her being sleepy but then everyone is different. Maybe a slow buildup would work rather than just a big up all at once. I hope you get relief from one of them anyway!

Unfortunately, Mobic is one of the meds that I can't take since having RNY.  I use to use it daily but now I stay away from all the meds that we are told will cause ulcers in the pouch.

I take mobic/meloxicam daily but since I decided to have surgery I haven't been taken it and I haven't found anything that helps like it did. It is an NSAID and I was told that I couldn't take it after surgery and trying to find something that will work before hand
