You can't spot reduce fat. You just have to keep losing and it will come off. Though sometimes PS in necessary if enough fat cells have built up in the area.
I like to do functional exercises that work multiple muscle groups. So squats and lunges are good for the core, the gluts and the quads. Turkish Get-ups are great for working every single muslce but you really need to get someone to show you how to do them with good form or you risk injuring yourself.
