You will definately have to have someone with you. It doesn't have to be a family member. Is there a co-worker, neighbor or friend that might go with you?

You wil not be allowed to be discharged from any type of surgery without an adult to accompany you and drive you home.

You don't have to have anyone stay for the whole surgery, but I believe that my husband had to sign my post-op instructions since I was drugged.

If you have no  family/friends to be with you post-op, you might be able to
1.  hire a service to transport you home and stay 1 night
2.  ask a church if they provide a service like that
3.  call the hospital/surgery center and ask them what they recommend
