Congratulations!

And,. please, use your block button and then keep coming back! Success stories dilute the nay-sayers! Successful bandsters who don't come back make it look as if there aren't many successes out there!

Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Thanks, Kate. I appreciate the support from the vets. I don't consider myself one yet as I'm still navigating, but I hope to join you in that category before long...

(and I love me some redcoats! My BFF and his mother live in Chelsea, London. Gonna get over there before too long! We'll have to meet up for a salad or something when I do!)

Faith,

You have done so well and dealt well with the challenges that came along...and you are a warm, honest, "real" person...I hope you won't let the occasional craziness on this forum keep you from coming back and sharing your success and your experiences (good & bad). WE NEED YOU HERE!

Jean

Thanks, Jean. Kind words from the band guru. You helped me a lot way back when and I'm grateful... your book? Awesome. A must read for any bandster at any stage... I'm also a big fan of your wit. You're a funny, funny lady. Sarcasm at its finest; my favorite!

Happy Bandiversary Faith!  Congrats on getting healthy and in better physical shape.  It's hard work, but so worth it!

I understand what you are saying about this board.  I just started blocking people.  I love my band and what it's done for me.  I'm a RN and I know any procedure can go wrong.  The block button has made this board a more positive experience for me.  I come for support and to give support, not to be reminded daily of WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN.  ( that was supposed to be in large letters) hahaha

Best wishes,
Kristi

I guess I don't understand why we'd even need to block people. My God, we're not stupid. Nobody is better than me and I am not better than them because of our very personal choices. I don't know why folks who have had a bad experience or who chose something else just don't say that, ya' know? I wish we'd not have had to make the choice at all, but clearly we needed something and nobody should try to make anyone else feel bad for trying to have a better life... (ok, off soapbox...)

Thanks for the kindness, too... ;)
