I think I have been stuck briefly a few times. I cn feel my esophagus spasming as it's trying to get the food go down and I vomit. this all happens in about 2 minutes. What is the protocol after  a stuck episode?  I have gone on full liquids for a day after. Is this correct?

As my reply may not be the same as others, I want to emphasise that this is not advice- just telling you what I do.

I have never had a stuck episode which was so prolonged or painful that I felt the need to do anything other than take a bit of extra care for the next hour or so.

For the sort of minor episode you describe, a brief feeling of discomfort followed by almost immediate regurgitation, I do nothing at all. Just carry on as normal.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I have had a few stuck episodes in my band life but never for more than a few minutes so I just give myself an or or so before putting anything else in my mouth.  Mine were usually caused by something not being chewed well.  Hope all works out for you.

My stuck episodes are just strong discomfort in my stomach for 5 to 15 minutes.  They are almost ALWAYS because I ate bites too big or too fast or both, and it was dense meats.  A continued problem for me.  It doesn't come back up, but it hurts, and you would think I would learn my lesson, but I don't.  I just wait for a while and resume normal eating, being much more careful.  It has worked for me.
