Hi Guys,

I need your advice all of you.  My Doc has suggested I get a bypass because I have not lost enough weight with my band.  I admit it has been a struggle lately but I'm not sure I want to do that.  History...lapband surgery Dec.08 lost 70 lbs.   revision surgery (band slippage) June 2010.  Now I have gained about 20 lbs back from the original loss.   Help.

You might look into a sleeve VSG surgery if you are wanting to avoid malabsorbtion.

Get the RNY!   I've had the band since 2008 and HATE IT!    I have begun the process to have it removed and get the RNY.    So many of my original concerns with the RNY have been improved.    I have NEVER had success with the band and actually weight more now than I did in 2008 after the band was put into place.    My revision surgery is scheduled for December and it can't come soon enough.
