is the band there???

I went from not being able to eat certain foods like steak and other dense foods to in the last week being able to eat everything like theres no band at all. I really culd eat alot easily. I have to stop myself. What happaned? I had a fill on the 22nd last month and instead of restriction I went the other way..Has this happaned to anyone else...

 the band is a fickle tool.  Don't get too comfy.  You could wake up in the morning only able to do liquids.  We have to work with the band with its mood swings.  Best wishes,

If your loss of restriction directly relates to the adjustment then you may have simply lost some volume in the fill process (eg. Needel wasnt fully seated in port). If this was a spontaneous and abrupt change unrelated to a fill it can be due to a more serious issue (eg, tubing break, slip, erosion). Slips and erosoins usually are accompanoed by heartburn, reflix, and coughing at night.

Regardless, I would recommend you contact your surgeon sooner rather than later. The longer u wait, the more weight u may gain whle wondering whats going on. I typically assess my patients with these issues with xray/fluoroscopic guided adjustment.
