Some people (guess they don't get it)

In a bit of a NSV, I went to the jewelers yesterday to get my wedding ring resized (down 2.5 ring sizes)!  The woman that waited on me asked how much weight did I lose and did I do it "naturally".
Naturally?  Naturally??  Of course I told her I did it "naturally" not like any fat was sucked out in surgery. Then the little, tiny lady told me she lost 35 pounds (also naturally) and had to gain 10 back because she was too skinny...but said a couple times that natural was the way to go.

Well everyone knows wls is cheating. We just have major surgery which is, of course, risk free and painless and then we wake up to find the weight just falls off. We never feel hungry, never get cravings, never struggle. Just get up every morning smiling, happy and contented to sail effortlessly past all vending machines, friends waving doughnuts, office parties, family celebrations.

A doddle really.

But it isn't legal to shoot shop ladies. Even tiny ones with big mouths. Shame.

You might be able to get away with spitting on her. Once, anyway.

Natural? wtf.. this is hard work!
those idiots that think this is the easy way out have no clue do they!
If I don't walk at least 4 miles 3 times a week and eat the right foods it doesn't work!
Even when I did it the Natural way I had to do the same...the band helps but it is no cure!

I had a lady I work that I don't even know say "You look great did you do it naturally or did you have WLS like everyone else?" I smiled and said "Thanks, I am working hard!"

I think that is a major advantage in the UK, the idea that "everyone" has wls just doesn't occur to people. Not many of us, although getting more common.

When she said that natural was the way to go, I wish you had asked "why?" and waited for her answer.

Not that surgery always makes weight loss easy, but even if it does, why is that a bad thing?

It's like we are only worthy of being thin if we suffer enough for it. Grr.
