OT: need advice...

I have a situation and would like some feedback, the subject is off topic. My husband has not seen his son in a while. He sent some special things to his son, yet his son took several days to even e-mail him and thank him for the expensive things he bought him. NOPE, he didn't get a dang phone call, just an e-mail! We were planning on doing something special this year and wanted to include him within our family.. Have not heard a word from the child for nearly a couple of months, then all the sudden when its time to do the special event, the child writes. Do you think that is odd?

Luvs2go, It is hard to say if it is odd or not. So many factors come into play, the age of the child, the reasons DH has not seen his son, the child's comfort level with his dad, outside influences from the child's mom, grandparents, step-parent, etc. just to name a few.
